It is so much fun when one of the salvagers we work with shows up with a truck load of wood. It's like my birthday each time since I have no idea the color, shape or detail of the wood. These guys work so hard at getting the wood that it has always been my rule to buy whatever wood they bring. Some of it is too thin to be made into picture frames and often it is really, really beautiful. So, now we are taking that beautiful piece of slender molding and fixing it onto a wider, thicker piece of flat wood. The look has depth and texture and interest. They will vary since we have a gazillion pieces of little molding. We could paint them so it would be more predictable but we think it's more fun this way AND it kills us to paint over beautiful wood.
Approximate outside dimensions could vary slightly but below is a ballpark approximation list:

5 x 7 Photo - 12 1/4"W X 10 1/4"H
8 x 10 Photo - 15 1/4"W X 13 1/4"H
